When we first looked at the house, we were told about a great set of double doors that were in the attic. Unfortunately, the doors were gone when we purchased the house. We pieced together bits of their history. In the late 1920's Mr Morton removed them when he no longer wanted to hold funerals in the house. They sat in the attic for 75 years until the previous owner sold them. It took 6 years of work to track them down and return them home. It took another 2 years to finish the front porch and get the doors installed again. As you can see, it was worth the wait.
In case there was any question that these belong on our house - here they are around 1900
